My name is Beverly Jean Edwards. I was born June 15, 1989 in Lancaster, SC hospital. I love to be surrounded with family and friends but then again sometimes I need my space like anyone else. I believe in family. It is important to have a strong family to fall back on because when I was growing up I never have that. My parents separated when I was 6. Both parents got remarried to some crazy people. I grew up with physical, mental and drug abuse from both of my step-parents. Our family was very poor, we always had to live pay check to pay check. My father died when I was 13 years old because he was infected by AIDS. I lived with many people growing up, a mix of friends and family. All of my friends became my family. This made me strive for an education so I would be sure to give myself and my daughter a better life than my family gave me.When I was 18 I fell in love with my high school crush, Chris Lenard. A year later along came our beautiful daughter Adelynn Eliabeth Lenard. Chris is now my fiance almost five years later and we plan on getting married in 2013, after I graduate and we get our lives situated.My art work mostly represents my life struggles and celebrations. My inspiration for my pieces almost always comes from my life experiences.
I have been delt many bad cards in the game of life but it is up to us to take every bad situation and learn from them. Everything that I have been through has shaped me into who I am today. I appreciate every second of life that is given to me.
